Monty Elam has been a PGA Professional for 23 years, but when he went in for a routine eye procedure in 2007, his life changed forever. The procedure went wrong, resulting in Monty losing his eyesight. Today, as Director of Golf at Whiteford Valley Golf Club in Michigan, he continues to love the game, refusing to give in to the challenges brought about by the loss of eyesight.
